CNC Operator/Programmer

IMMEDIATE POSITION

CNC Programmer and Operator

LOCATION: Tomken & Timberlea – Mississauga Ontario

PAY RATE: $30-$32/hr

Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Read and interpret drawings
Program, set-up and Operate CNC Machines
Design, select and set up proper tooling, holding fixtures and attachments
Calculate proper operating conditions (speed/feeds) and tooling for the job
Ensure that machined parts conform to specifications.
Use precision gauges and measurement instruments
Knowledge of “G & M” codes with programming/editing skills
Ability to independently set up CNC Machinery
Prioritize daily inventory list to be physically counted
Identify and implement corrective measures on variances

Educational/Experience Requirements
Post-secondary education preferred
Proficient in the use of MS Office and standard software (Lotus Notes and JDE preferred)
Must have a valid forklift license with a minimum of 3-5 years experience operating a counter balance lift truck.
General physical activities, with the ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
Excellent interpersonal with superior communication skills; both verbal and written
Well organized, well-planned, productive, self-directed individual who requires minimal supervision and can make timely decisions
General machinist certificate or related work experience


Minimum 3-5 years work experience setting up and operating CNC Milling machinery and tools

Minimum 3-5 years of work experience creating programs in CAM software (Mastercam or similar)

Ability to read & interpret blue prints, drawings, charts & tables
Previous experience working with overhead cranes an asset
Proficient in the use of MS Office and standard software (Lotus Notes and JDE preferred)
